Barring all other issues with the movie, why is there a picspam from The Last Airbender in a community for historical dramas? It is not a historical movie. It is not a fantasy movie set in a historical time, or set in a fantasy version of a historical time. So, Jesse McCartney's music career took off or some such, and he isn't playing Zuko anymore.  In turn, they have cast an actor named Dev Patel.  He kinda looks like Sokka. Oh yay!  They cast a minority so it won't be all white kids running around in cultures specifically based on Asian and Indian cultures, in a movie based on a canon where there ( Read more... )

Like pretty much everyone-or so it seems-I have mixed feelings about the finale. A lot of these mixed feelings are well addressed by coffeeandink  here.

These two episodes are the ones that everyone seems all too eager to spoil, so I went in pretty well aware of what was going to happen. This did not decrease my enjoyment.
